The Opportunity: We are recruiting an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist / Specialist / VMO (FRANZCP) to provide clinical leadership and patient care within an Acute Inpatient Unit in Western Sydney. Take advantage of a flexible psychiatry locum role within one of NSW's busiest and most well-supported metropolitan mental health services. This acute inpatient opportunity offers stable block work across three days per week, with on-call responsibilities and the option to contribute to ECT. 3 days per week, with on-call commitment Block booking from September through December Well-established mental health service within Western Sydney Local Health District Daily rate up to $3,000/day Clinical Environment: Manage diverse acute inpatient caseloads Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of registrars, nurses, and allied health Access to ECT sessions (desirable but not mandatory) Strong consultant network within a major Sydney LHD Eligibility Criteria: AHPRA Specialist Registration (FRANZCP) Psychiatry Consultant / Specialist / VMO experience NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check Australian working rights Willingness to complete hospital onboarding and credentialing Location - Western Sydney: Based within a large, metropolitan mental health service, this role is located in the heart of Western Sydney , offering city convenience with easy access to transport, vibrant communities, and multicultural dining and lifestyle options.
